Just prior to His ascension, Christ left His disciples a specific and simple Commission. It wasn’t a suggestion, it wasn’t a recommendation, and it wasn’t an option. He said:

GO…
   PREACH the Gospel…
      MAKE Disciples of ALL Nations…
         BAPTIZE them in the Name of the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit…
            TEACH them to observe ALL that I have Commanded you…for
                LO I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

This Commission was personally given to the Church by our Lord and Savior. The Gospel to be preached, as defined in Scriptures, simply states that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God and if you confess this with your mouth, and believe this in your heart, then you are forgiven of all sins and are presented before God holy, blameless, and beyond reproach. This is the Gospel. No more, no less. This is not “cheap grace”, but God’s Grace!

Satan in his deceit, cunning, craftiness, and guile has skillfully divided the Leadership, Resources, and Members of the Church of Christ. Doctrines keep us separated; Styles of Worship keep us separated; Methods of Administrating the Sacraments keep us separated; Leadership Power keeps us separated; National Pride keeps us separated; and the arrogance of Social Privilege keeps us separated. All of which contribute to limiting the Church of Jesus Christ in fulfilling its’ Mission.

The Birth of Project Jericho

With a personal commitment to World Evangelism, God birthed in my heart Project Jericho. Our objective is to mobilize, train, and empower International Churches and Ministries to plant churches in unreached regions.

We will partner with Churches and Ministries in these areas and select Regional Directors that will recruit, train, and supervise Church Planting Teams. These Church Planting Teams, consisting of “National Servant Missionaries”, will Evangelize regions in their country where there is NO existing church. Each team will bring a specific professional / social skill that will enhance the lives to those whom they are called.

When Caleb was first birthed in 1989, God graciously spoke to me through the words found in Habakkuk Chapter 2 verses 2-3.

“Record the vision and inscribe it on the tablets, so that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.”

In God’s time, the Ministry of Caleb International has evolved from its’ initial Vision to its’ present state. Therefore, I am equally trusting and believing God for the future of this new extension of CIM’s Ministry, Project Jericho. May it grow and develop according to His will and with His favor. Although the task is disguised as impossible, I see the Great Opportunity. This one thing I know, and allow me to use a contemporary songwriters way of expressing it:

I am determined and I “have a made-up mind.”
